About the product

This 20oz Polar Travel mug features fossilized ammonite cephalopod shells drawn by Dr. Ernst Haeckel.  These antique illustrations are the 44th plate from Haeckel's 1904  Kunstformen der Natur (Art Forms in Nature). Originally labeled "Ammonitid", an older term for the these extinct cephalolpods. Here is a list of the species' binomial names in Haeckel's time and their updated classification in parentheses.
